What I’ve tested:  Profectiv Mega Growth Deep Strengthening Conditioner

Profectiv Mega Growth Deep Strengthening Conditioner helps stop breakage, boost hi-shine, protect, restore, repair and rebuild fragile damaged hair for healthier hair growth. The rich emollient crème is excellent help for deep repair of damage caused from chemical over-processing, heat styling, over-styling stress and dryness. Fortified with ProStrengthening Complex, a deep penetrating blend of natural minerals, oils and proteins.

HOW TO USE: 

Generously apply to damp hair after shampooing. Spread from hair roots to ends, coating liberally and evenly. Leave on for ten minutes, thoroughly rinse and style as desired.  For deep penetrating heat conditioning , saturate hair, then apply a plastic cap or sit under a dryer for 10 minutes. Rinse well, then style as desired.

VERDICT:

So, I’m not doing flips about Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil) or Petrolatum (vaseline) but when I tried this I added some essential oils and another vital ingredient to the mixture. I deep conditioned how I always deep condition – with a plastic cap and a bonnet attached to my hair dryer. I have to admit, not bad. My hair felt soft. This softness didn’t last long but this product is worth a try. It was on sale when I purchased it but this one is definitely budget-friendly. If the company that formulates this product would be so kind as to remove the MINERAL OIL and the VASELINE (at least from the first six ingredients) this would be a GREAT PRODUCT. 

The smell isn’t off-putting. Honestly, I don’t remember how it smelled (because of the essential oils I used) but like I said, it’s worth a try. It has some good ingredients but c’est dommage you won’t get the full benefits from these “good” ingredients due to the MINERAL OIL and VASELINE.
