VERDICT: I stalked this product for months then I finally got the chance to buy it when the store I bought it in put it on sale and allowed me to use a coupon. So what do I think about it? Well, in the words of Whitney Houston “hell-to-tha-naw!”

So my verdict is a resounding NO! Rich in “Brazilian cocoa nut oil, rich keratin proteins, avocado oil and cocoa butter” – um really? It’s definitely rich in something and that’s A-L-C-O-H-O-L. This so-called heat protectant fried my hair badly even though I used a super-low setting on my ceramic tourmaline flat iron (under 200 degrees).
I went through each section of hair ONE TIME with my flat iron and the results were super-duper straight hair. The product smells heavenly when it’s in the bottle, so good that you forget you’re dealing with tons of alcohol (my bad). Granted, I had lots of movement in my hair and it even felt silky to the touch but the thing I noticed more than super-straight silky hair was the smell of BURNT HAIR. I immediately wanted to shampoo and deep condition afterwards but I held off for two more days. So for three days, my hair smelled like a pot that caught fire on a stove with a sprinkle of coconut oil. It was awful.
Day 2 I noticed my hair didn’t feel silky anymore but rough. Day 3 I noticed more split ends than I’ve ever seen on my hair strands. I was in a state of…well, let’s just leave it at I was in a state. A couple of hot oil treatments, reconstructors and deep conditioning treatments and a very sad Search & Destroy later, my answer remains the same. NO TO THIS PRODUCT. Two thumbs down, 8 fingers, 2 big toes and 8 toes!!!!
If you’ve already bought this product and can’t return it, then put in some extensions and use it on that (unless you actually care about your hair extensions). If you can’t do that, give it to someone you really don’t like or to someone who cares NOTHING about the health of their hair. Honestly, I expected more from Organix.
*ANYTHING positive about this product? Well, it smells good when it’s still in the bottle and the packaging is pretty. That’s it.
